On Saturday, i found out that the two year old girl, Nurasyura, that has been missing since last Wednesday, was found murdered. It was so shocking. The suspected murderer was none other then her 30 year old stepfather. A sick, sick man. May her soul rest in peace.

Goodbye or Welcome Back ?
Have not gone into Blogdrive for about 2 months! I have decided to use my other blog as my only web journal. Did not have the heart to say goodbye to blogdrive which i have started in 3rd Nov 2004. All this is because of the 'edit' problem that have been having with my blog and i thought 'blogdrive' will never solve it. I was so fed up! Now...it has been solved...the layout looks much better and i have rectified my 'Singapore Flag' and 'My Kad' date of post. mmmm... wondering what i should do?

I'm so fed up! My 'Singapore Flag' original entry date is July 27, 2005 and not Dec 29, 2005. Last week i edited that entry to change the text color and when i published it, it showed the current date. 'My Kad' original entry date is Dec 28, 2005 and not Dec 30. I am still waiting for BlogDrive admin to rectify this problem...still waiting

Have not apply for 'MyKad' yet!!! It is free till 31st Dec 2005..only 3 days left!! This system was launched in 5th September 2001. Found out that i could apply for it in JB but where?? Can't seem to check in the http://www.jpn.gov.my website. The same thing appears..'could not open the page because the server stopped responding'. I think i know the reason for it : - Tken from Bernama.com :- PUTRAJAYA, Dec 28 -- The old identity card is still valid for use in all official transactions after Dec 31 until a date to be determined later, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid. "The government has not determined the date when the old identity cards would become invalid," he told reporters, here Wednesday. At the same time, he said, the government would also not extend the period for free conversion to the MyKad which would end on Saturday whereby a certain fee would be imposed for conversion after that date. Azmi said the fee to be imposed for converting the old identity card into MyKad would be decided by the Cabinet next week, and gave an assurance that the amount would not be a burden to the people.as of Tuesday, there were about 1.2 million people who had yet to change their old identity card to the MyKad. "Most of them may comprise students or those working abroad. They will be given exemption from paying the fee to be charged," he said.(how about me in Singapore?? ).Those staying in remote areas such as in Sabah and Sarawak who had difficulty going out to change their old identity card would also be exempted from paying the fee, he said. Time to read Malaysia newspapers!!

THINGS HAPPENDED THIS YEAR'S EID
It's been 3 weeks since Eid, i have been busy with my girls' final year exams and baking cookies for Eid celebration. Two really good things happened during this year's fasting month...something a mother would be proud of...both my girls, 9 & 11, completed a full month of fasting and they performed fajar prayers together with me. Let me smile first.. :) ...but i just hope they will stop fighting about tinny winny things a lot lesser! Went to my mom's place in M'sia on the first day of Raya. Even though, we got stuck in a jam near Seremban for an hour, it was alright. My son, Raziq, 4, keep asking me "where is Nani's house" and "i got stomach ache mommmmy.." and "off the air-con, mommy..too cold..." again and again but i kept him occupied by singing and diverting his attention to other things..i also sat at the back sit with him. Haseena who has been complaining about not getting the air-con, sat in the front sit...didn't hear her complaints anymore. Phewz!! As always we went to 2 of my aunts place in Kelana Jaya and my cousin's house in Damansara on the 2nd day of Eid. In the evening, we went to my sister's place. While my hubby was fixing wireless internet for my nieces, my sis put on a movie by Shahruk Khan and Preti Zinta titled 'Veer-Zaara'.

The movie was sad but had a good ending and since i did not see the movie from the beginning, we bought the DVD in S'pore just a week ago. Later, during the night, we went to my sister's in laws place. This is the picture taken there

and the other at my cousin, Fari Appa's place

My kids enjoyed collecting 'duit Raya' and i enjoyed the variety taste of 'biskut Raya'. Mom gave me many kinds of different cookies to bring back home. But this year..my brother did not come back from Australia to celebrate with us..never mindla..next Eid he will be with us as this year is his last year of studies!!

TOMORROW
Saying that we'll do it the next day
But sometimes we don't realise
Tomorrow might not come anyway
"Tomorrow I will start to repent
I will do lots of sadaqah and pray
Tomorrow I will give others a smile
Tomorrow I'll repay all my debts of today"
But what if tomorrow never comes
and we return to Allah Almighty
We might regret not doing it today
Like REPENT, do daawah and give charity
For if you leave things till tomorrow
The next day might be just too late
Whatever we can do, do it all today
Give all that you can and DON'T YOU WAIT!

On Tuesday, while i was busy cooking for my family's evening meal, i received a call from my mom from M'sia...she said that my aunt, my dad's elder sister who was suffering from Parkinson's disease has passed away around 2pm. I thought i get to see her one more time before she goes..just 2 days before she died, i thought about her, thinking how is she now? is she getting worse? The last time i saw her was 2 years ago. Now.. juz remembering her. My aunt, a window at a very young age, with her only son shared a home with my other aunt's family (my dad's youngest sister). During her free time, she use to come over to my parents home, well almost everyday she drops by as she stays two houses away opposite of my parents home. It was during my primary school days. On several occasions we, my mom, my aunt, my sis and i, play board games...her favourite game is 'Monopoly'. We use to paster her to buy properties whenever she lands on one, my mom would ask her to buy it but she wouldn't..her excuse.."i don't have much money!" I would offer to give her my money for her to buy, then my mom would say.."u don't have to give..she already has alot in her hands..see..pointing". It's true but she uses her money carefully eventhough...it's only paper money. We had such fun...laughing...chatting...that was 'those' days but these memories will always be with me and can never die.

Last week, i hung up my Singapore flag of 6 years. Can imagine the red on the flag in more like pink...it has faded. Then i saw straight ahead..alamak! am i the only one who have put up the flag?? and i'm not even a Singaporean..juz a PR. The number of people hanging up their 'this is Singapore, ..we belong together...' flag has decreased. Where is the sense of patriotism? Today, i see at least 3 more S'pore flags hung up around my area of blocks...mmmm...wish i can hang Malaysia flag on 31st August (m'sia independence day, Merdeka!) kalau nak pun tak boleh..i don't have Malaysia flag...anyway memang tak boleh nanti kena tangkap pulak.
